Yip’s Music Centre provides piano, voice, and music theory classes for children starting at age four. Our comprehensive music education program is taught by highly qualified instructors, helping students achieve First Class Honors or above in all RCM Examinations at a 95% success rate. Regular performance opportunities, including recitals and music festivals, enrich the learning experience.

Our Piano and Violin teaching staffs follow the Conservatory system. All faculty members are qualified, experienced instructors who share a deep passion for music. Seasonal student recitals and concerts create an encouraging environment filled with opportunities to share the joy of making music, build performance experience, and boost confidence. Students may also participate in examinations and festivals, including the annual Yip’s Music Festival held in April and May.

Classes can be taken individually or in small groups. Examinations with the Conservatory are scheduled in December, May, or August. Regular tests are administered throughout the course. This program is suitable for children aged 8 and up.

The mission of our Chamber Orchestra is to foster a community of young artists who share a unified passion for creating music. We are committed to providing the skills and heightened perception needed to perform effectively in an orchestral setting. Our strings coach offers artistic guidance, technical training, and essential instruction to develop well-rounded musicianship. Our members have earned awards and honors for their instrumental talents.

Joining the Yips Chamber Orchestra (YCO) gives musicians extensive performance exposure across diverse environments and repertoires. Benefits for young players include teamwork, social and orchestral etiquette, and the growth of confidence and self-esteem. Auditions are open to young musicians aged 5 and up.

We divide the orchestra into two groups: the Junior group (instrumental Grade 1–5) and the Senior group (Grade 6 and above). Scholarships, awarded by audition, are available to select Senior Group members with outstanding achievement.
